CEDAR PARK, TX – February 27, 2017 - IBT, a developer of powerful and scalable applications and data management solutions for financial institutions, announced the addition of various members to the executive leadership team.
Michael Korthuis joins the company as Chief Information Officer. Through the strategic utilization of technology, Mr. Korthuis will further strengthen IBT’s ability to serve its clients and their customers. Mr. Korthuis began his career in banking and quickly rose through the ranks to the senior executive team, providing a unique and valuable perspective in IT management. Mr. Korthuis graduated Cum Laude from Ball State University, and then went on to pursue a Masters of Information Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Michael also completed the BAI Graduate School of Bank Operations. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
As IBT’s Director of Compliance, Tom LeVasseur will oversee internal compliance and coordinate independent audits to ensure IBT maintains strong internal controls and remains compliant with applicable laws and regulatory guidance, including the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act. Mr. LeVasseur brings both credit union and community bank experience to IBT. A graduate of Temple University, Tom began his career in retail banking at a credit union outside of Philadelphia, PA. He went on to become a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, where he participated in safety and soundness examinations in the Federal Reserve’s Third District.
